The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its greatest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often slough through). It's the first robot to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, meaning you can instruct the robot to avoid it.
The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning times and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
The design is also superior to the competition. It has a sleek, high-end piece that looks like a toy rather than the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal System is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to collect sand, small gravel and even a bit of grit. Most robots can't do this. It did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.
The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, is still an option for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's hard to determine whether the update actually working until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the best choice. vacuum robot of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water that allows them to mop and vacuum your home at the same time. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and even the capability to dry and wash mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but usually lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not come with some of the premium features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent choice if you are willing to make a few compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is a place which many robot vacuums can really fail. The Q5+'s navigation is top-quality, with a few misses along walls and in corners.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and alter your home map, or change the room's label.
If you select the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed it can be accomplished with relative ease. It also comes with a large LCD display which is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessary feature for most people but it will assist you in keeping track of the maintenance intervals for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly intelligent in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and features are some of the top available - but it's also pricey.
It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot clean and charged.
And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the few robot vacuums I've tested that do very well at collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of your home. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does everything.
If you're looking to save some cash or don't want to think about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other options on the market which include a variety of eufy models that cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpet floors, as well as a mopping function for a low cost. It's simple to set up, simply connect one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed near an outlet and have enough space to move.
The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it can fit under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is more modest than other models, with a sleek black finish and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The primary aspect that sets the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to create a picture of the immovable items in its path. It keeps track of the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.

The elegant G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and performs better on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and comes with the boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 on the other hand, is more affordable and is much simpler to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
